A round describes the amount of time that it takes to discover a new block. For example, if a block is located and added to the blockchain 7 minutes after the previous one, that’s a 7-minute round. A Current Round Duration describes the amount of time that has elapsed since the mining pool last discovered a block. A round can last anywhere from a few seconds to several hours, based on the luck of the pool.
